Saltburn & Marske ASC - Joining Criteria 2025
12yrs and under:
● Minimum age = 7yrs (consideration will be given to under 7’s at the head coachesdiscretion)
● Must be at or above NPTS stage 7
● Must be able to swim 100m continuously
● Must be able to swim 3 out of 4 strokes
● Must be willing to compete in galas as per squad criteria
Over 12yrs:
● Must have reached NPTS stage 10
● Must be able to swim 1500m continuously
● Must be able to swim all 4 strokes
● Must be at the same level of ability as peers or show potential to reach that standard
● Must be able to complete training sessions aimed at LTAD level ‘Training To Train’ (squad 2) or show potential to reach that standard
● Compete in galas as per squad criteria
● Allowances will be made for swimmers with disabilities to anchorage them to join the club
Masters:
● Must be over 18yrs
● Must be able to complete an hours training session
ALL CRITERIA WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE HEAD COACH
